Turbo 340
Turbo 340
I'm thinking of selling my 340!
I took it off the road a year ago as the turbo started to get smokey, it currently doesn't have any tax or MOT. I've been planning on putting in an injected Gordini engine but just haven't found the time.
Would just need a new turbo to put it back on the road, the turbo is a cheap turbo diesel unit from an escort.
See the following post:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 13&t=10512
Built to a very high standard with the following parts:
Recent engine refresh, new rings and big ends
Custom made exhaust manifold
Full stainless steel 2" exhaust
Brand new Renault 5 turbo carb (Solex 32DIS)
Custom made carb adapter plate
Aluminium fuel tank
Custom made lowering blocks
Custom made coil over front struts with shortened stroke
Spax adjustable rear dampers
Forge motorsport intercooler
Too many custom parts to list...
Looking for around £800, otherwise I'll break it.

pmed you about the tank if you decide to break it cheers
Re: Turbo 340
I haven't had time for the Volvo lately so it's been sat under a cover for the last 12 months. I put it back on the road with a new turbo but cracked a piston again putting too much boost through the engine. I'm breaking the following parts:
Chassis and suspension:

Original struts converted to coil overs, shortened, 60W oil, pillow ball top mounts, proper lowering blocks, adjustable anti tramp bar and Spax adjustable rear dampers. Very little rust, will need trailering - £250 ono
Fuel Tank, filler and straps:

Sometimes the cabin would smell of fuel when not moving, but I think that's part of having the fuel tank inside. Also had problems with run back on the filler so I modified it a bit, see photos. - £150
2in straight through stainless steel exhaust system:

Not the nicest system would have liked to TIG weld it but... built from Jetex parts, fits on original mounts - £75
Other bits to come:

Re: Turbo 340
Iwould be interested in the suspension front and rear and the antitramp bar pending further photos. If you would be willing to break and ship?
Thanks.

You still got the exhaust manifold?
