18 yr old Volvo 340 looking for a good home

Post by december_boy » 12 May 2006 10:03 am

Hi all.

I'm moving to Australia at the end of May and it is with great regret that I am saying goodbye to "The Beast", my 18 year old grey Volvo 340.

It's great for the city - cheap insurance, reasonable fuel consumption, it passes MOT first time (has done this past three years), spacious and it goes well. It's had a new carburettor put in recently - that's all that's been done for three years. It's 3 door and has fold down seats to help with transporting stuff. And it's solid as a rock as you all know - hence its nickname.

If you don't drive often, but would like a runaround for shopping etc, it's perfect. Though it does ok on long journeys - I'm heading to Wales on my last weekend in the country.

I live in Queen's Park, NW London - it's taxed and MOTed until September / October.

And it's available from the 30th or 31st May (I leave on the evening of the 31st).

Let me know if you can provide a good home for her...

Is the car a 1.4 or 1.7, is it a 4 or 5 speed gearbox, is there any rust? Any known faults?

Cheers
