I also love the wheels. It's just I got a set of Cetus that look brand new from a low mile Celebration special edition (6000 miles and then it was written off and sat in a garage for 10 years!!!) so have whacked them on. I can't decide which set I prefer but lack of space means I can't keep both!
Here is a pic (low quality!)of them on my 480 ( I bet your all cringing

)
(please ignore the dent... I didnt do it!)

Ahhh, was that the celebration model, the purple if I remember correctly, it was on Ebay maybe a year or two ago? It happened when it was very new and the intention was to rebuild it. It looked half tempting I admit to say!
I've also made use of the 480, using the Vesa multispoke wheels that were fitted to most of the GT models on my 360!
Good luck with selling the wheels, they do look very tasty on a 300.

Sounds like the one. I bought a 480 for peanuts the other day for the mint alloys and the mint leather. The guy I bought it off told me he got the wheels and leather from a 6000 mile celeb which had been written off and sat in storage for 10 yrs. Anyway I was happy!
With regards to the wheels, the guy i know off the forum has offered me a new wheel cap to replace the faded one for a fiver posted to your door so whoever wins teh auction I will give his mail details. I think a few people on the 480 owners club would undercut his price and do it for a couple quid as I know a few people with garages like mine ( full of parts!!!). Anyway good luck if anyone on here is one of the 12 watchers! I just need them shifted...I start Uni in 2 weeks time!
Good luck guys and happy motoring. I quite like the 340/360 so may look to get one in the future!
Rob
P.S: bit OT but has anyone fitted a B18FT (1.7 turbo) in a 340/360? Easily tuneable (A guy called Rich Pruen mods teh ecu or £80 and the car produces 170bhp and almost 275nm's of torque) and the standard 0 - 60 is around 7.5 (please ignore Volvo's 9seconds! That was to not scare the older volvo users. PerformanceCar mag did a review and tested in and it came out 7.5secs and out accelerates Corrado's and 200sx in 3rd and 4th gear. I can link to the PDF if ppl are interested!

Well, interesting you should say that! Huskyracer has done the engine swap in his 340, and has done some impressive runs at Santa Pod in it. Have a search around the site for his user name and posts, there are some videos on his site of the beast in action from memory. A very impressive machine.
I'm afraid over here at V3M we're very good at making use of 480 parts for our 300's!

I would suggest he contacts RPruen off the 480 forum then... The mod will do all that to the power and allows the car to spool boost shed loads quicker...and the boost...oh my the boost! Doubled from 7psi to 14 psi (maximum before the ECU cuts it back!) and make steh car so much smoother than a manual boost controller and keeps all teh volvo engine safety stuff in place! Well worth the £80!
Also here is the link for the standard 480 turbo when it was released. Mainly useful to you guys for all the praise about the engine!

Thats pretty impressive! Last time Rich pruen had his car on the road it was pushign around 250bhp and about 28PSI of Boost!!! I think he topped out at 153mph as indicated by GPS and the mid range torque was immense!!! I think his car went from 80-130mph in 2.5 seconds!!! I was lucky enough to get a ride and my god it was quick!!!
It is currently off road as he is in the process of supercharging it...and turbocharging it! he has a supercharger to work instantly and provide low range torque and a Planet sized turbo (T3 in memory serves my rightly) that wont kick into later on in the rev range (around 4K) that will boost like a bastard in the upper revs! Looking to kick out around 350BHP once it's all plumbed in! i think the engine has been in and out a couple times while he is fine tuning squeezing it all in! For more info check out
http://volvo480.dragons.org.uk/forum/vi ... php?t=6596
Anyway it should be pretty impressive! Is Huskyracer the guy who drifts? I saw a few videos I think! the most amazing front badge ever...PIMP! I Just want that badge

It's good to see the Renault 5/clio boys aren't the only ones to nick our engines
Hope this is of interest to a few people!
