Very reliable and runs smoothly but with 239,000 on the clock, all good things have to come to an end.
Just completed a 500+ mile roundtrip to Runcorn without problem, and a trouble-free 3000 miles last month, but it's just got to go at the end of the week when the MoT expires. Apart from 2 tyres I don't know of any reason why it could not pass another test, but it's probably best for spares now unless anybody wants a free runabout.
I'm not asking for any money but any donations received would be passed on to charity - the 340 doesn't owe me anything !!

> Very reliable, used daily and for many long trips.
> Regularly maintained as evidenced by the huge mileage.
> Bodywork is still in very good condition apart from small rust patch at bottom of drivers door and slight damage to rear nearside wing.
> In it's long life, it's had 2 new radiators, 2 new starters, new Weber carburettor, and a refurbished alternator, plus lots of other new bits & pieces.
> 2 good tyres
> Speedo and odometer still work
> Radio works (but not the tape player)

> Tailgate struts have failed
> Drivers doorhandle broken but usable
> Small pastic link on sunroof has broken
> Slight oil leak from fuel pump
> Rear jacking points rusted
> Rev counter has a mind of its own

> Occasionally has trouble starting when warm caused by condensation in the distributor (absolutely fine when either hot or cold)
