OT: Arcam Alpha 7 CD player

I have this rather fine piece of CD playing goodness (if you'll be interested, you'll know what it is) in my possession, although I'm selling it for a friend. I'll take pics if anyone is interested...just trying to gauge interest.

Condition is fair but not A1. Remote is missing (I assume it had one when new...). £75 sound fair? Multiple hundreds new, and sounds it. Award winning piece of kit. I know we have some audio types lurking...

Hmm, actually I would be keen, but that'd involve me buying a new amp... and I'm thinking of buying a steering wheel for GTR2... Let me have a think

Hmm, may have been tempting as I wouldn't mind a machine to use with a headphone amp, but I'll have to pass (Volvo needs some attention).

If you don't mind me hijacking this thread, I've got a pair of speaker stands, an equipment table and (eventually) a pair of tape decks I need to offload...

Bump! Pictar!

I've had it running tonight - it works a treat, and sounds sweet. It's not as detailed as my Marantz (CD63 mk2 Ken Ishiwata Signiature

) , but it's seriously lush and warm sounding....the audio equivalent of a nice warm bath
