Hello all. As you may know, I had a problem with my 360 at the end of last year, and I've now decided that I need to move her on. I got her at the end of September, had her serviced & then drove about 2000 miles on holiday & to visit my dad in hospital in Yorkshire & the car worked a treat (bearing in mind that she's not new, so has a few quirks). UNfortunately, the front right suspension strut gave up the ghost at the end of November & also led to the discovery of a reasonable quantity of rust underneath the car. I've been waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for a friend of a friend to come round & give me a quote for getting the car back on the road, but 6 weeks & no word. I then found out about a nice Citroen BX for silly money which I promptly snapped up, and therefore have neither the space nor the money to get the 360 sorted.
In terms of getting the car on the road again, she needs a new front right strut (and possibly replace the left one to keep things the same both sides) and welding to the sills & boot. For someone who's got the experience, probably not a huge amount. I think a new tyre may be required too, as that was mentioned & I'm not sure whether the spare would be up to snuff.
The engine in the car is fantastic, gearchange is lovely and, as you know, the seats are great for long journeys (nice than the BX, in fact). I'd just fitted a new indicator relay for the towbar so that all works, new reg. plates bought but not fitted, new front right bearing (as the first garage were useless) and I have a spare which would come with the car. I also have a replacement speedo cable to replace the snapped one currently fitted.
With the work as above, this would be a great car for someone for quite a while - great on long distances (nearly 300 miles to north Wales with no probs either way) and I know the car is reliable (once fixed!).
The car also comes with a registration worth £300-500, which of course couldn't be taken off until/unless the car is MOT'd (nice incentive?). However, I should mention that my agreement with Andy (who's hopefully still enjoying Canada) was that I'd give him half the value of the plate if it sold, so would like to pass that agreement on to the new owner if possible.
I have spent a reasonable amount on the car during the short time I've had her, so it would be nice to think I could recoup even a small part of that. With my landlord giving me meaningful looks, I do have to pass the car to someone else or risk her getting crushed, which no-one would want. If anyone's interested, please let me know.
The Beast is, unfortunately, for sale...

1) I'm near Windsor in Berkshire. SL4.
2) Photos as before.
3) Garage who had car quoted £800 (!!!!), but this car needs less welding than my last one, and I had a quote via a different garage for £200 on that. Can't really take the car anywhere to be looked at, due to the suspension strut, and the mobile guy who should have come by now obviously doesn't want to bother.
Please note - unless you can repair the strut here (for which I can supply tea and, possibly chocolate bikkies) or want to drive the car with the suspension cup resting on the wheel, you'll need some kind of trailer or dolly (and I'm not talking Barbie!)
