In another words the brakes are seized up, all the suspension bushes have cracked/corroded, the fuel is stale so the car doesn't run, the fuel lines are perished etc etc. I'd be very wary of a car that had done so few miles, in fact I'd probably be happier buying a 100k mile car that's been well looked after!

Of course it could really be totally mint condition, but I still wouldn't pay £2k for a 340.

One word... bodywork, if it is absolutely mint then getting any 300 in anywhere near a condition will just cost much, much more!

Not justifying the price because for that money, it should be absolutely perfect, I'd missed that it needed some parts

If the body work is mint then I would say it is worth about £1000 to be fair. You could find it is only very minor bits needed so possibly worth a few hundred more. If I was looking for a mint 300 it is one I would look into further.

I cant see any reference un the ad as to whether this is a private sale or not.

I once travelled 90 miles to look at an 'immaculate/as new' 240 - to discover it was a trader selling from home. The floor had rusted through, the manifold was blowing and inside was so dirty it looked as though it have been used a a daily driver by a group of coal miners.

It's only worth what someone's prepared to pay. If it really is completely mint with just a couple service items needing replacing, 2k might not be too bad a starting price, but you'd want to haggle down a bit.

If the body paint & interior match the mileage (i.e more or less perfect) it's worth it, and worth icing away for another 20 years
