VOLVO 340 1.7 GL F REG, 5 DOOR, MANUAL IN WHITE. THIS CAR IS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING CONDITION THROUGHOUT AND INCREDIBLY ONLY HAS 12000 MILES FROM NEW. IT RUNS PERFECT. PASSED MOT WITH FLYING COLOURS. THERE IS A MARK ON THE CAR. IT HAS ORIGINAL STEREO AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS TOTALLY ORIGINAL. IM AM SELLING THE CAR BECAUSE I INHERITED IT AND I DON'T USE IT AT ALL SO WOULD BE A SHAME TO LET THIS FINE CAR GO TO WASTE. No, but I think I can second guess what happened...
Volvo was using 2 styles of steel wheel - a type with small vertical slats in and the type on your white car, the type on yours were (on mk3's like yours) always painted black and used as spares or were behind plastic wheel trims.
Thinking about it logically, yours as an 88/89 GL would have come with those wheels and plastic wheel trims - I'm thinking that at some point (maybe even at delivery) the original owner of your car professed a dislike of plastic wheeltrims and had the steels it painted silver and fitted with the plastic 'mk3' centre caps normally fitted to the other steel.....
