1.4 & 1.7 poly engine front mounts £15 each
How much of these would I need for my 1,7?
The parts catalogue suggests 2, however a quick look under the bonnet makes me doubt...?

You would need 4 mounts for a 1.4 or 1.7 . At the moment I have a supply problem with these and are not currently available.

guessing they will be pricey , any cheaper alternatives? or do i put some gear oil in the shock

If you wnat cheap then your best bet is some QH gas inserts for teh front.
