I really really need a lower subframe from a 340, the frame that holds the steering rack and bottom arms, I need a drivers side lower arm too and a rad and fan set up from a 2.0 360

Had a bit of an accident and no local places have anything in

Antoni

I think I can help with all of that. The suspension bits can only come off the car once it's on the trailer...and I'm not exactly sure when that's going to be, yet. I'm thinking probably in a fortnight's time, all being well...but I can't say for sure.

There's still far, far more left of the cars than there should be at this stage...running behind schedule!

You're looking for the pressed metal bracket which bolts onto the front cross-member? Yeah, I should have one of those available.

cheers

I've never seen a 1700 one, but I've got a couple of 1400 ones. Let me locate one and we'll worry about money later.

Injection or carb...the diff ratio is different? I should have an injection one available in a few weeks. If not, I'm sure I know someone who will. I don't think I have a carb one to hand.

I have no reference point for what they're worth, to be fair. The last one I bought was £50...so £40?

Postage is likely to be a problem, to be honest. I've shipped gearboxes to the US in the past, and you end up spending hours packaging them up so they'll survive the journey. I think delivery / collection is more viable. Do you ever have reason to head up north? I come down there from time to time, so we might be able to arrange to meet up.

When do you want it? As I say, I won't necessarily have this one available particularly quickly. The car isn't yet here for stripping, and the box won't be the first thing to come out anyway. I'm just a bit concerned that you might be hanging on for mine when it's going to be quite a few weeks away, and you could be sourcing another one in the meantime.

I don't mean to sound unhelpful, but it's not the easiest part to transport, or even remove - first you need to remove the exhaust, heatshield (which will take ages as the bolts are always rusted to hell), then drain the tank...then getting the box itself out isn't much fun. I just don't want you getting your hopes up about me being able to get it to you quickly.

You might also like to shoot PMs to John (filthyjohn) and Adam (340GLT), as I think they both have boxes they'd be willing to part with...and they might already be out of the cars!

cheers

Best appreciated when open.
I probably should have specified ladies legs in there too. [+=] "embarrarrased emoticon"[].com
