another 1.8.
I really didnt know they did 1.7 mk2s

Maybe everyones adding extra cc's to appeal to the moar powaz drifaz
That's a load of shite, it's the same one that's been on DoneDeal.ie (see the Ebay bargain thread) for 390 yoyos, except this has an interior shot to show it's a manual :(

It's a 1.4, or at least it is on the reg cert, as that's what the Revenue have it down as and the tax for 1300-1400cc is €333 pa. I really doubt they would have shifted many larger engine ones when they were new given the tax shafting one would get. If it does have a 1.7 in it, then it's a tax-dodge as the tax for 1700-1800cc is €551 pa. (if they don't change the system, it'll drop to €50 when it hits 30 y/o.

I'm pretty sure there weren't any mk2 1.7s. George Mitchell has a very early C-plate 1.7 (various differences in the engine, and the engine number is very low), and that's a mk3.

cheers

then tax costs the same as to buy the car

if it were a 1.7!....or 1.8........which i doubt too seeing as its a mk 2.
