My Nova had that

well.... when it caught fire under the bonnet the radiator hose was split, throwing water all over the engine bay thus extinguishing the flames...
not so much a designed safety feature as a miracle stroke of luck

i'm not so sure. stroke of bad luck, perhaps, but a nova surviving any longer than possible is surely a bad thing :)

My 340 1.7 and my old 360 have much lower emissions as the run on LPG. Fuel for the future and very low running costs.

true, it was very resillient tho, it survived through that and threw a cylinder head gasket on liverpool's busiest roundabout, then crashed into warrington a few weeks later...

and by good luck i mean it didn't blow the whole car up with us inside it :P

A tank will fit in the spare tyre hole in a 360 and for a 1.7 or 1.4 you can use a tank which fits instead of the original gas tank, under the car. You will only need a small spare tank for the gasoline... Just to flush the carb and the engine.

you can also (in a 340 non-vario) use the space where the 360 fuel tank goes, above the gearbox..
