[quote="LankyTim"]Bet it wont look as clean as sausage.
Ive seen two recently driven into my local breakers yard. there for a week or so, then flattened! There were also a couple of redlines in there. [quote="LankyTim"]
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Oh hang on that makes Gavins and mine that much rarer LOL

I think Adam has some sort of redline headrest fetish!
'Nice' GLT for £150? Good luck
Don't rule out the 360 carb models by the way. We proved at Santa Pod that there's almost nothing in it in terms of performance, and they give significantly better fuel economy.
cheers

The yard doesnt have any 340s in at the moment, theres 2 740s though.
Sad truth is that there are not many 340s on the road anymore, and of the ones that are on the road only a small amount are taken care of and repaired, so the demand for spares is very weak. The rest are cheap hacks that are driven into the ground, like all cars of that era.
The demand for scrap metal however is very strong and the breakers would much rather have a more "current" model in their yard than a car that wont make them ay money in spares.
The end result is that many perfectly good 340s are driven straight into the crusher. What a waste.
Who has the tailgate, how much and where??

Yes sir, Scrapfinder General Sir. Them's should be hung drawn and quartered, then their foul entrails should be thrown to the dogs. Even that's too good for ‘em.redline wrote:I was referring to a quote by Lanky tim , twas he who witnessed the redline herrasy not I,, I hereby declare that all scrappers of cars who commit this crime should be sought out by the scrapfinder general and crushed

To get back on topic................
The 345 is still available for those who want it, as DeeK4yzYoBlingPinkcar says it is not immaculate, the peeling lacquer on the tailgate being the worst (and of course the fact a smoker owned it if that kind of thing bothers you).
It is not the cheapest 300 around, but it is realistically priced (negotiable of course) and Steve does have the parts and knowledge to provide further back up if needs be.
I must add that apart from being promised a pint if it sells through this website, I have nothing to gain by the sale of this car. I have known Steve for years and am just advertising it as a favour to him.
