Well, if the gauges are anything like I've experienced, it'll stay near the top for a long time........... then suddenly the fuel gauge will drop past about 1/3 full. So don't assume it's half full when the guage is pointing vertically! You'll probably not do the same amount of milage from the first part of the gauge to vertical as you will from the second part of the the tank from the vertical to empty, don't become a Foggy trying! I can't remember exactly, but the GLT tanks are split into two, and I believe the bottom edges are quite rounded, reducing the capacity in the bottom of the tank, but the sender will measure the level, not the actual amount of fuel left in litres.
Sounds like the car really is one of those occassional rare finds, a late, mint 360 GLT. Good work that man, enjoy it.
