That is about the most you will EVER get though - to be honest I don't think it'll be alot more economical than the 850, but I'm guessing the tank is a fair bit bigger on that. Bonus point is that it'll be so so cheap to insure.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy.....

That's a Mk2 though, not Mk1. Very similar to mine, only with Smiths gauges. If I had storage space I'd definitely have that. Can I have two?

Got to credit the guy for trying to sell it to someone who will love it. I think the amount of drool would convince him of my enthusiast status.

The tank on the 850 is about 70 litres, from which I get about 270 miles in mixed driving, up to a best ever 350 of just motorway miles. Around town only it drops to about 200. That's what you get for having a 2.3l turbo with an auto 'box. So the 360 would actually be quite an improvement... until I get carried away, which I inevitably will :P

I've spoken to the guy who's selling it and he seems quite honest. It's had a bit of work over the years including new front wings, but no welding. He mentioned some corrosion to a bolt-in crossmember at the front that might need replacing and some unevenness in the braking, possibly due to having replaced the caliper on one side but not the other. What do you reckon, I still think it sounds pretty good and would probably be worth investing some money in, as long as the initial price isn't too high.

Technically, it's a Mk1 GLT (quarter lights and externally adjustable mirrors)... but not a Mk1 300, there were no Mk1 GLTs. But that's splitting hairs ;)

The initial price could potentially be quite high - I mean Ronnies car went for a fair price too, and so should this really! But who knows!?

Mine was in better condition with half the milage and a nearly full MOT - I reckon this one will go for pretty typical 300 money...

I'd be very surprised if it made much over £400

We don't have any firm figures regarding MPG for B19Es. Also bear in mind that a B19E in good shape and the average B19E will be very, very different beasts in terms of MPG. I'm referring to the condition of the fuel system there. I'd expect to see a whole load of toasted wiring, leaky injectors...so the list goes on. Age isn't kind to fuel injection - note how few injection 360s actually run smoothly. Having said all of that, '90 cars suffer these problems, so don't let that put you off - it's just something to consider.

I think Pettaw has proved what a 360 injection in good health can do.

cheers

My B19 (carb) gets about 350 miles to the tank, 30-35mpg (no town traffic driving). Isn't that a Mk2? (I think there is an echo here ;))

Ok, I've put in my max bid as I'll be out when the auction ends. If the high bidder is no longer ebdl11 and you fancy a stab at this, go ahead.

Cheers,

360s would not be any good for banger racing as the cam belt is very near the front. I saw that on ebay earlier actually, it looks like a cracking car! 3 door, and a good colour too.I wonder who bought it. It looks like they got a bargain!

It's a very nice car and a very fair price - I guess the not having an MOT put alot of people off.

I decided against in the end as I need to get rid of some cars before I can fit in another one without an MOT. Hopefully something else will crop up when I'm more ready.
