Dude, I'm telling you, put it on for 99p. I've sold countless cars this way successfully.

Your call I guess, I'm just trying to get you what you want for it.

There's little money about and I hate to say this but unless you know and understand the 340/360 like we do, most people think that these cars are simply terrible.

A friend of mine said " Please don't buy one as there are a lot better cars as a runabout out there for the same sort of money ".

He was pulling my leg, of course, or WAS HE ????

Jeremy Clarkson and others have done a lot of damage to their image ... :(

Back in the 80's I hated them and would not be seen dead driving one but once I drove Trundle 1, I swear by them now ... :340: :360:

And before you say it " It's not because of my age now " ... cos I drove Trundle 2 like a hooligan especially getting the tail out in greasy roundabouts ... sm48

Problem with the 99p thing is that you then get all the wallys phoning you offering you £20 and a jammy dodger for it

Ah but surely with "best offer" you'll have the same thing

It's your choice buddy but I recommend everyone sells on ebay this way. I'd be happy if you could prove me wrong!

it seems the 300 is not quite a classic car yet :(
I don't mean to be harsh, or maybe I'm missing something, but if it didn't sell at £600, why would people bite your arm off at 33% higher?

I think it's a shame tbh, if that car really is as clean as it looks in the photos.

Very true Chris ... :)

But maybe rusbus feels that by having a fixed price, this will stop people outbidding each other and that is why nobody bid in the first place...

I think Speedy88 is right, start at 99p and with a reserve, afterall you don't make a loss/profit until you have sold !!!

We're in possibly the worst recession in living memory. Is anyone actually shocked that you can't swap a thirsty, awkward-looking technological throwback for the price of a twelvety inch plasma telly??

It's a buyer's market, either accept that and get what you can, or keep it until prices recover (if they ever do).

Not hating, I love em more than (arguably) anyone, just trying to provide some perspective.

I'm more than happy to take £600 for it really I've only put it up for that with the offers bit on as I don't want to get offered £300

Yh thats the right way of doing it. My old mk1 fiesta, i put all sorts of parts on it, it was worth £1000 plus, so i advertised it at £1000, eventually i got knocked down 850... If id have advertised it for 1100 i would have got more... So stick it up for more than you want and let someone knock it down to your price :) Thomas...........

I fully agree, if I had space I'd be coming to look at it and if the pictures are right I'd be biting your arm off at that price
