360 GLT 'Jet' SOLD

With regret I'm having to sell the 360, as the MoT man has failed it on the dreaded rot today (amongst a few other things). My other cars also need money spent on them, so this one has to go as funds won't stretch!
Failure sheet states:
-Nearside front position lamp not working
-NS and OS front shock absorbers have negligble damping effect
-NS and OS rear structure has excessive corrossion within 30cm of body mountings. Photos of this are below, the garage referred to the area as the chassis rail.
Mileage is 110,000, tyres have plenty of tread on them and I've recently done an oil change, oil and air filters and spark plugs. I've owned it since April this year and have done 3,000 miles with no problems. Overall it's in a reasonable condition, paintwork isn't great but is presentable enough. All the electrical bits work apart from the central locking on the OS rear door.
MoT expired on 2nd September, failure sheet is from today (16th)
Taxed to end Feb 2011.
Price - £250 with tax, £150 without tax
Location - Beckenham, South-East London

Quite a common place for them to go on that rear chassis rail join... Pete posted some cutaway pictures of the internal structure and there's no surprise as drainage is limited to say the least! Good luck with the sale, overall a nice looking car!

Thanks Steve, I'm hoping someone with welding skills will take it on and keep it on the road as it's such a nice car to drive. The chassis rail looks a real pain to get to though as it's right underneath.
I will be genuinely sad to see it go but I need the head to rule the heart for a change!
Valman - I thought that was you on the M25, I did see you but didn't wave as the traffic was getting a bit tricky

I've done that on both mine, it's a good afternoons work but it's not particularly bad in the grand scheme of things.
I'm really trying not to buy this back, I miss Jet

Sold to a nice bloke called Erik who'll be using Jet as his daily. Hopefully it should do him proud once the MoT issues are sorted

'scuse me, but WTF? Those rusty bits shouldn't be considered as within 30cm of a body mounting! The spring mounts are like 45cm away in both directions, I'm pretty sure the damper doesn't count as it has leaf springs. Also, those front dampers were new when I personally installed them last year, I'd be surprised if they were goosed already. Don't go back to that garage mate.

I've had failure on those rusty points from both a dubious garage and my well known one mate. I believe the reason given was the same as for the sills, it's a structural point on the car.
