BLUELINE INTERIOR AND BUMPERS AND SPOILER 4 SALE

Post by jcred22 » 26 Apr 2011 01:35 pm

I have just bought a 5 door 1989 blueline which will soon be turned into a drift slag. Im stripping it right out including seats, door cards, parcel shelf etc and removing the bumpers and spoiler. the interior is absolutely mint including the drivers seat, the bumpers and spoiler are in average condition. Please dont start telling me I shouldnt strip a blueline because they are limited edition etc unless u want 2 buy the car off me 4 £2000. I live in hayes, middlesex (near heathrow airport) and viewing is no problem. There is no postage being offered with these so its cash on collection only please. I will post pictures as soon as I get time. Thanx. Justin

Best appreciated when open.
I probably should have specified ladies legs in there too. [+=] "embarrarrased emoticon"[].com

Ive had a few 300s. Never usually pay much more than £200 for a decent car with T&T.
Store the innards, and enjoy the car. Youll probably be sick of it in a few month and it'll be easier to move on with an interior.
Theres always Drift0rz cars on ebay with no interiors. Nobody seems to want them. Not even people looking for a drift slag. :?

To be honest im not a volvo man, im into escorts really, aint got room 2 store the interior because my garages are full wiv my mk1 escort, mk1 fiesta and parts, just thought by advertising the way I did I would get a rough idea how much the interior would be worth, any1 who wants it make me an offer. Iv got the original volvo floor mats (more like trays) as well if any1s interested. Iv had an offer from a nice bloke who works for the council who said it will all look lovely in the back of his dustcart so if no one wants it thats where its going. Thanx

It's not a personal attack mate, just it happens here all too often.
Ok Volvo's are a cheap rwd but i can't understand why anyone would take a minter, strip it of everything, Bin it, ruin the original paint by matt blacking it, welding the diff, then 5-6months down the line get bored of/break it and try to flog it back to us for more than was originaly paid.

Atleast you've had the decency to offer the parts.

Like i say i've no problem with driftertrampers etc the only prob i have is why use a minter, there are plenty of sheds out there.

I know the money is the issue, but it's like someone joining one of your OSF forums and saying "hi, i've just bought a Mk1 Escort which is mint, so i'm gona strip it then take it drifting and dent the rear quaters on the armco. Would anyone be interested in the twisted shell when i've finished with it?"

In relation to your question although rare the interior is worth between nothing and £100 just depends who wants what at the time.

Dont forget to leave the trailing edge of your bonnet open a bit on the way to the tip man.
It'll make you look fully DK.

I see ur point mate and I thank u for ur advise, if u buy a shed u know ur gonna hav 2 spend money on it to get/keep it running properly b4 u can even start lookin for escort blocks, landy shocks, mr2 springs, weld the diff etc. I wouldnt call mine a minter but the interior is. Im glad my volvo needs a bit of tlc on a few panels because otherwise I would be tempted to leave it standard and leave the matt black paint on the shelf etc (still weld the diff tho, ha ha!)

To be honest if the twisted escort shell was tax exempt and it came with a logbook and chassis tags it would still sell.

I wish I could afford another escort for everyday use but im hoping that the volvo will bring me some fun when iv done wot I want to it.

Anyway ill get some pics of my car on this site soon incase anyone wants to see it before I modify/ruin it, ill put some up of the fords as well if thats allowed, ha ha!

Thanx again

Here in lies the problem. The Escort would sell as it's worth the bucks, where as these are deemed cheap and disposable at the moment, so those of us who keep them long term are getting issues with parts supply. Funnily enough the main requests for parts here has gone from bit's of trim and hard to find mechanical bits to the now most commonly asked for props, gearboxes, diffs and driveshafts :? .

In the 3yrs or so i've had mine i've noticed decent cars are turning up less and less often, with what seems to be a distinct lack of decent 360's recently?

Anyway these cars have a habit of getting under your skin, so enjoy it and just try not to destroy it

I'll happily look at pics of some OSF's and your Volvo.

It seems that although the blueline interior is rare and mine is mint, it isnt worth much so im thinking bout storing it now unless I get a decent offer, if u can get someone to pick it up u can av it for £100, I cant imagine there is an interior out there minter than mine, there isnt even any wear on the drivers seat.

It's a Volvo, not a Ford. It wasn't designed to break as quick.

£25 for it if you want it.
