Post by wiganer31 » 19 Jul 2011 03:38 pm

Hi there I'm breaking a 940, I'm useing the engine and wireing loom but the rest is avaidble, it has a towbar and 5 alloys, I'm on my fone atm so will get pics and better info up later so check back later.

Edit: well thought id put a pic up, long shot on here i know but worth a try, if anyones on any other volvo sites i would be really greatfull if you could post this up for me, not alot to say really, like ive already said everything is there exept for the engine and engine loom, manual gearbox is really smooth, 122k on the clocks, has a brand new bacbox a few mounths ago, all the evectrics work including the heated seats, willing to post if your willing to pay, let me know what you need and i will give you a price, i would sell whats left for 270

I just weighed my donor in mate. The bricks rarely need anything other than what you have kept lol.

Plus as you have no doubt experienced yourself, you can pick up a decent runner for pennies. This makes it hard to put a value on parts.

I struggled to give away the mirrors, headlamps, grille etc from the one I had.

I'd just stick it over the bridge to save the hassle. You won't get £270, but then again you were never gonna in all honesty.

Yeah we just scrapped one we got at A52 (after putting speed holes all over it). The only parts that got taken off was the driver's seat, roughly, by me, which I'm currently sitting on.

It's a shame and we'll kick ourselves in years to come I'm sure but the demand just isn't out there yet.

Not the best day at the office, but scrap was down when I got shot of it, plus given the state it was in we just soild barred it to the nearest yard, not EMR where I would have got the best price.

That price included the cat and alloy bumper bars weighed in seperately and I also sold the alloys. I got back more than the car cost me - £150.
The car was also full of loads of shite (including the bumpers, dash etc) an oven and two hobs.

You should do better given the current prices.
