White 340, solid car. Now £300 SOLD
Ive ran out of room and sadly Im considering selling my 340.
It has been dry stored since last October. It has been out for some short runs regularly so nothing has sezed up. It drives, stops and has a good body.
I have striped it out and fitted Cobra Monaco S bucket seats and 4 point harnesses. It has been used on track a few times and is reconed by others to handle better than Im letting it (Im a bit scared you see )
My mod thread details everything Ive done to the car. I have spent around £1000 on it in parts.
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... te+340+mod
Im not sure I have the time anymore to use the car, let allone finnish the project as Ive been working on some MG Midgets. If I had more time or space I would keep the car.
Bad bits
It currently has no tax or MOT
The rear engine mounts are very tired causing the exhaust manifold to hit steering rack duting lively driving
There are a few rust spots on some of the pannels
The passenger side is slightly mis shaped but has been repainted
The bonnet has gotten a little stained and rough since the pictures you can see in the mod thread.
There seems to be a vacum leak which affects the running of the car, however it can be driven and dissapears when it gets hot.
Some Extras!
I have some spare parts including carbs and front and rear lights, a grill, indicators and some other bits
I also have the original carpet, seats, belts but no plastic trim or rear door cards
There is a rollcage for a Pugeot 309 which I payed £150 for included
I will sell the whole thing with extras for £600 as is or £450 without the Monaco S seats but with the original interior parts I have.
I can MOT and tax it for £700
I could do a deal somewhere inbetween these with a varying amout of parts, get in touch if you're interested.
Oh, the car is just south of Glasgow.

I love this car. And would buy it now if I had the spare cash.
Which is a boring cliched thing to put in a thread. But true all the same.

Re: White 340 5 door, featuring a solid shell
Ive just listed my 340 on Gumtree
Im looking for 600 as Im selling the rollcage seperatly, so now £600 with T+T. £500 without all other volvo parts included as well as bucket seats and harnesses.

Re: White 340, solid car. Now £300
I now have nowhere to keep this car and I dont want to leave it out neglected somewhere when it could be used by someone else who would apreciate it the way I did when I had it on the road.
So, as said in the title £300 for a car with all the common suspension mods done, not to mension the lack of any welding or need for it in the future. The car has been kept inside for the whole of the last year.
The only thing I think the car may require for the MOT would be some adjustment at the exhaust joints. I can MOT if required.
This price does not include any extras. What I have from the original Interior will be refitted, although the Cobra Monaco bucket seats and 4 point harnesses are avaliable and can remain fitted for an extra £50.
All spares I have are avaliable very cheaply and can be looked at on the day.

Re: White 340, solid car. Now £300
Ive finally got some more pics of the car tonight. Pictured as i intend to sell it.
£300 with the standard seats and seat belts fitted
Add £50 for a set of good Cobra Monaco bucket seats with 4 point harnesses
Add £50 for a car with an MOT
I will throw in all the other volvo bits Ive got on the shelves.

Yes its still here VND, I cant believe Im prepared to let it go this cheap!
The way you're talking valman this could turn into a breaking thread but I just cant bear to do it, if this shell got cut up or crushed I dont think I could live with myself, you could ofcourse buy the car and take the seats out
