Hi guys,

I bought that car. My first car in the late 90s was a 1985 365 GLT, and selling it left me with a 360-shaped hole in my life...which has just been filled again :D

I'm still not sure whether it's a GLT or not. sm14 It's got the B200F, and most of the signs are there that say GLT. I don't think it's been upgraged either, the only owner from new turned 88 last year, and somehow that's not the right age bracket. I also visited the dealership where the car had been bought back in 87 (unfortunately the salesperson has retired long ago) and checked the history. The mileage (85 TKM) is genuine, and during the last years the car had only been registered during the summer. Last Oil Change at the dealer's was in 2005 at 81 TKM, and the little paper thingy is still under the bonnet.

So, if any of you knows a faultless 360 GLT-giveaway - let me know! Haven't had a chance to have a look at the suspension yet.

Well, that's it for now. Guess I'll be talking to you soon.

Flo

Congratulations Flo, and welcome to V3M :-)

I'm convinced it's a GLT, if it's a German-market car. As you say on volvo-forum.de, even the interior light delay relay and the black headlining is there. All the details except alloys and rear hatch are correct.

If I were you I'd look out for a MkIII rear spoiler, and some 14" "Columbia" alloys (both quite common, possibly on Marktplaats.nl?) and some proper decals for the rear hatchback.

Cheers

Tom

Thx Tom! Guess I'll have to show you the car one day :)
The registration documents say it's not an import, so I'll have to check the suspension...

Also thanks for the links, I'll definetly be on the lookout for a rear spoiler. I am not so sure about the wheels - I like columbias, but I intend to upgrade the brakes and don't know yet how to, or what the minimum size fo the wheels will be when I'm done. I intend to use that little gem on this year's Volvo Trophy on the Nordschleife, so some changes will be made - but no shedding sm2 ! I also intend to keep that car for longer - and I have a huge dislike for rusty cars.

Cheers,

Flo

If you want to have it road legal in Germany, you'll have to be a little careful. 14" Leos / Pollux / Columbia are in theory the largest you're allowed to fit without an "ABE" for them. I've been on the lookout for original documentation from companies like Haas (15"), but no luck so far :-(

Apart from Marktplaats, check out the V3C's website:

There are some 14" wheels for sale here:

Surely B200F, interior light delay and black headlining (darker carpet too) will be a certain on GLT. Good buy :)
