On the clock 39K, but I made the mistake of pressing the trip reset whilst moving and have caused the standard Volvo 340 speedo issue, and the numbers stopped rotating, speedo works though. The car is lightly used (hence for sale) so I estimate that the mileage is now 43K max.

Sills, arches, inner wings are rot free, door bottoms are good and tailgate is rot free. There's a little rust on one side of the front valence, but its not at all bad. Tailgate gas struts are awesome and very strong.

Exhaust is recent, replaced in Jan 2013 and was a full system, back box, interpipe, downpipe.

Some spares included, eg, a renix, fuel sender unit, door cards, pop out windows and seals.

Previous owner fitted new Volvo vario belts in 2012, replaced the dash blower switch, fitted the diode to the vario system as per instructions given on this site. So everything bar the mileomter and trip gauge works as it should.

History includes handbooks, Volvo greenbook, Mac's CVT guide and Mac's Carb guide, used when carb was serviced and rebuilt with new gaskets and diaphragms etc.

I'm flexible on price.

Went under the back end of my Vario Volvo last weekend to do its 6k mile belt adjust.

OMG. Lovely new genuine Volvo vario belts there, with Volvo in raised letters on the belts and Hecho en Mexico stamped across them. Pulleys faces in good condition and belts showing no abnormalities and in A1 condition.

Also of note no rust....just none, metal brake lines with factory black paint on them looking like new. Its probably the soundest underside of any car I've ever owned.

I've had a number of "Tourists" come to look at the car, you know the type, come over look over it insist on a test drive and then "hmmm I'll have to think about it/ask my wife/waste your time some more because I have nothing better to do" etc.

I've even had some people contact me by email and make stupid offers of little more than scrap value. To all these people I have said "**** off!" Its s bloody good car and certainly worth what I'm asking for it.

Do you know what **** it! I might just keep it and use it until something serious fails on it, rather than let it go to a total tool.

I reckon it's a fair price too given the condition. If you keep it til something fails I think you might have it for a while ;)

Found myself saying that the 340 is better than a MK2 Golf on another internet forum....I stand by that statement, having owned a MK2 Golf, the Volvo is much better made and drives much better. I do not understand why the 340 isn't more popular.
