340 vario good home wanted for an excellent condition car

Post by paulwelle72 » 13 Aug 2005 01:10 pm

This car is open to serious offers as The one who MUST be obeyed has said this has got to go, (and I am NOT to get any more 'projects, as we dont have the room') and it is too clean to break or banger race so I am offering it on here as well as ebay..............

Volvo 340 GL AUTO (vario)

5 Door Hatchback

Only 1 previous owner from NEW

B reg 1984

First registered 07-11-1984

Less than 44000 genuine miles from new
(Approximately 2000 miles per year with a letter from the previous owner stating that it is the correct mileage, and was serviced regularly at a Volvo dealership)

This car is an absolute credit to its previous owner.

1400cc engine
(Cheap tax/insurance/running costs)

5 Door hatchback

Engine is absolutely superb, many new parts fitted, and regularly serviced, with genuine Volvo parts.

Automatic (vario-matic) so no jerking between gears.

Very VERY tidy bodywork, in a lovely light blue. There are only a couple of marks on this, that is very slight bubbling (5p size) to the front corners of the bonnet (has NOT broken the paint) and bubbling to the front valence (once again, has not broken the paint)

Genuine Volvo tow-bar with twin electrics fitted (and all working) but never used to tow a caravan, it was only used to tow a small camping trailer.

Wash wipe on headlights in perfect working order.

Immaculate interior, never been smoked in, with no stain's or marks to be seen.

Never been used on motorway's

The only fault with this car, is that you have to rev it hard to move, but once you get up to approx 30 mph, it settles down to a normal rev pattern.

This was recently driven over 100 miles with ease and drives superbly apart from the gearbox problem.

Was purchased with a view to use as a general hack around as it has a tow bar, but it is TOoOoOoOoOoO clean and tidy to do that with, and I would prefer the car went to some-one who would like to keep it in it's excellent condition.
ers as I need to move this as quickly as possible.

As this would be an ideal concours vehicle with very little work needed.

As I stated earlier there is no other documents with this apart from the V5 (in my name and showing 1 previous keeper from new), but I have a letter from the previous owner, stating the mileage is correct.

I dont want a fortune for it, but due to the fact it is SO clean, I would like a sensible offer.

The car is based in croydon, surrey (CR0 postcode) and viewing is highly recommended.

Any Questions please feel free to ask either you can telephone on 07946 668 301 or by PM.

Given the chance I would love to keep this car, but I know I will not look after it the way it deserves.

Hmmm, I've been told that too! Well, I certainly hope this car goes to a good home. It seems like a real gem. If I had more room, an early 300 would be nice, especially one as good as this, which is such low mileage. Anyway, good luck.

I'm considering purchasing this car if it looks in really nice condition.

Are many parts going to be different between my 1989 Vario and this car?
...not that I'm going to be scrapping either car, but incase I need to borrow bits occasionaly or something like that.

Can someone let me know?

Cheers

Simon

Hi Again. I have managed to get some pictures of the car properly at last, so now you can all see what little things need sorting out.
