Anybody interested in a 360 GLT with a body and silver grey metallic paint in superb condition, but with a broken engine.
This was a second vehicle used once or twice aweek.
It was actually running very well until this unfortunate event.
The car has been cossetted fom new with regular servicing.
This tender loving care was repaid by the oil pump pinion gear jamming the intermediete shaft at speed Causing the timing belt to jump teeth and bringing the car to a halt.
This is a noninterference engine .
MOT October 2015
One owner
Garaged
Waxoyled from new
42000 miles
Working sun roof
Electric mirrors
5 good tyres spare new and unused
5 alloy wheels Genuine volvo exhaust in very good condition
Insured value £3000.00 will accept £550.00 or reasonable offer
Poor health and lack of facilities means I am no longer in a position to repair it myself.

I've recently become the new custodian of this lovely car - which is a real credit to its one and only previous owner.

I'm hoping to make a start repairing the engine in a couple of weeks - so watch out for some naive tech questions from me.

Please tell me you will be saving it and not drifting it?

No, I won't be drifting it. Too old and too little skill for that

I'm a classic car enthusiast who runs 240 GLT's - my intention being to get the car running sweet and then, if my wife likes driving it (we had one new decades ago), we'll sell one of the 240's and keep this little gem of a 360.

Welcome to the forum! Look forward to seeing how you get on, that looks like a lovely car. The "tech section" of the forum has some "green books" which should be of some help:

Here's the one for the engine:

Thanks Tom. That's a very useful link, which I shall definitely be using.

Just need to find some space in my garage so I can get to work on it.
