sierra rear calipers for rear disk conversion

Post by madseb » 13 Jul 2015 03:31 pm

I have these surplus, as they were a spare set for my conversion.

what you get:
Two sierra vented calipers with pistons seals, and all hardware. ideally in need of a refurb (I cant recommend bigred calipers enough), however anyone with a bit of mechanical knowledge could do a diy rebuild.
Two cariers for calipers,
Two plates to mount to Volvo 340/360 bearing hubs.

you will require, a pair of vented sierra disks, and pads to complete,( although I can provide some old useable pads with good meat on them just to get you rolling).
handbrake cables. im currently using 340 cables, and haven't had any issues as yet, they seem to work perfectly.

Please note, shown in the pictures are the plates I received with a rear brake conversion I purchased some time ago. I did not make these, and as they are perfect for a drift car, or beater, and perfom ok.
I personally saw them as a bit flimsy. so re designed some that are available seperately, and can include these at additional cost.

prices for components are:
sierra vented calipers and existing brackets to mount up £60
pair of lazer cut caliper brackets (two pairs available) £20

collection from Dagenham Essex rm10
Although can post at additional cost.

thanks

that is a good question, I really wouldn't know.
I was building my set up to accommodate 15" wheels so I don't think I ever offered them up?

ill have to check later today, and get back to you.

I did some research the other day and it seems that sierra standard calipers and discs should fit under 13"s so hopefully these will work... Would I be able to purchase a pair of the laser cut carriers/mounts off of you mate?

So for the components you have, what would be the price for road legal use? As with my build I will need to rear disc the car, but it will require an engineers inspection, so need some to pass that.
