BREAKING 340 cvt.

Post by drivesavolvo » 31 Aug 2005 06:33 pm

i have just bought a 340 cvt for scrap. it is a very nice example with only 92,967 miles on the clock.

its 5 door, elec front windows, rear speakers, excellent engine and gear units.
the interior is in excellent condition.

i have already sold the carb, air filter box, osf wing and nsf wing.

i will crush the rest on thew 5th sept. if there is anything you want then mail me quick and i will send it to you.

regards. Keith

I could do with the front bracket for the rear leaf spring. Both sides.

I could do with some bits from the passenger side headlamp wiper which I broke the other day :(

I pulled the wiper away from the glass so I could clean it with a sponge, but I was rushing a bit as it was getting dark, and I caught the blade with the sponge and *snap*.

It seems that the blade and the corner bit are meant to be one, but no longer. Therefore it will only stay attached to the arm with tape, or it simply pulls off. There seems to be a lug that should pop through a hole in the arm.

Is it possible to remove the blade and corner bit, (as in photo below) from the arm, or do I need the arm as well?

If it won't come away from the arm, could you take of the arm as well.

Do you have any idea what postage will be? :)

And as always, I just have to ask, any air con, snowcap, econometer or external temp guage?

You can buy a new plasticy bit that goes on the end of the arm and a new wiper blade kit from the dealer. Mine had them in stock, so obviously they get broken pretty often. See if Keith can get you a good enough price to make up the difference in postage costs.

I had thought about contacting the stealership, but it's always nice to save a part from being crushed to keep spare reserves high for future use, plus I've only got before tomorow before this one bites the dust :(
