Feeler: R-Sport carb kit

Post by foggyjames » 15 Sep 2005 11:13 pm

Would anyone want to buy *at some point in the future*? I'll be looking for good money, and they're a PITA to tune...

Would include carbs/manifold, cam, B23E ignition system, air filters, filter king FPR, etc, etc....Currently making 140bhp / 145lbft on a 9.2:1 B200. There's the potential for a fair bit more power (~10bhp) once the top end is opened up...exhaust, e-fan, ignition, etc.

This is more a 'considering the options' thing than a statement of intent. Darkly thinking about turbo... But NA is cheaper on insurance, and almost as fast. Plus the sound...

cheers

For a daily driver, yes...well...that's part of it. They'd be awesome on a racing car, but they're a bit much for an everyday car, and it's still not that fast.

I'm far from through with them yet...I'll certainly get them tuned better (whether via ignition, or luck with finding parts) and take it from there, but it's looking like a hassle at the moment!

cheers

Would they fit ok on a B230E Foggy? I know someone with a 740 who might be interested if you did want to sell.

Yes, they'll fit, although they're a bit on the small side for a 2.3....and you run into further problems with unavailable parts when you start adjusting them for the larger capacity.

We're talking ~12 months ahead by the way, before anyone gets too excited...

cheers
