I posted quite a while ago about some problem i was having with my Volvo.

However, the time has now come for us to pass it on, as we got a newer fiesta which is more reliable.

So, basically we would like to get rid of our Volvo 340.

It is a Volvo 340 GL Blueline 1.7.
140,000 miles

As you folks know, these cars need regular running to keep them ticking over. Unfortunatley ours hasnt been running recently so will require some tinkering to get going. I suspect the carb needs cleaned as the spark plugs and distributer cap were done just recently.

Its condition is pretty reasonable for its age and would be ideal for anyone with an interest in these particular cars, as it wouldnt take much work to get it top notch.

Interior is in good condition also.

MOT till april but currently no road tax. SORN only.

Viewers welcome, Fife area in Scotland, please notify in advance.

Will sell for approx £300. Open to offers.

If you are interested let me know and i will give more details here! Or it will probably be scrapped! :O

As seen in the following picture:

edit: I have just noticed another post in this forum for this car!!
'blue line for sale' is the thread :)

other things to note:

it is currently with steel wheels on the front as the tyres on the two alloys were kinda worn on the insides, and we had an extra steelie to use with the spare*. we still have the two alloy wheels thought, the less worn one is under the bonnet as a spare (probably not a good idea). we made this change shortly before taking it off of the road so we never got around to getting this tyre situation sorted out, it's something you'd need to deal with yourself. also it'll probably take a bit of work to get it started as it has been sitting for maybe 2-3 months. i think the distributor cap would need cleaned out as we tried to do it but didnt have a tool to remove a screw (why didnt they use nuts/bolts?), so i dont think we managed to do it - instead we just cleaned the sparkplugs and it kept going ok.

let me know if you are interested.

note: i figured out the shuddering issue - just minimise leaving the clutch pedal depressed (i.e. actually take it fully out of gear when not using it) as i guessed this then left the clutch pads open & available to oil drips etc. well it worked for me.
