Well a last minute trip to a scrappy today just before they were closing to get some steel wheel nuts so Carl can have the ones from my black GLT found a pimped out mk2 340GL (gauges, leccy windows, central locking, sunroof!)
So ofcourse... I had to have em:
These tend to go for around £20-25 each. Ideally I'd like them to go as a pair as you can understand but depending on popularity I'll split the lot. £40 for the gauges and temp sender and econ tubing (with 1.4 T-piece if required), or £22.50 for each gauge and associated sender/tubing + P&P.

I'm very tempted. My wallet has taken a pounding through acquiring guages recently though. Will have to have a think!
And thanks for getting the wheel nuts!!

I'm interested in the Econ gauge + length of hose.

if my central locking on a 1.7GLE has stopped. is it common that the driver side unit has got fucked hence none of the rest work?
if so i might be interested in that central locking unit.
My electric windows did fail on me recently and no i dnt have no motors or no way of winding them up, but i dnt trust the flimsy volvo motors. will replace with some bigger ones from another car.
central locking anyone no an answer to this? im not really bothered but if its cheap to fix then i will...

Hmm.. has this been posted in the wrong topic? Makes no sense! There's nothing wrong with the original motors in 300s - I seem to remember theyre made by a German company, several car manufacturers use the same motor in their mechanisms. The problem in window motors failing is through lack of use - use them more frequently and they're fine.
The central locking in my black car has never worked - I never got down to fixing it either. I did replace the drivers actuator and that made no difference, unless I was unlucky enough to have two faulty acuators - unlikely? Check the wiring between the door and body of the car too - theres alot of flex going on there. I do have a spare actuator, but I have no idea if it works.
Other than that, I think the gauges have sold
