Old oil filter - fit 200s?

Post by Andy's-Old-Beast » 28 Jan 2006 06:33 pm

My dad was clearing out his workshop today and found an old oil filter he bought for the Cortina we used to have (back when Ford made decent cars! :P ) but obviously never got around to fitting it. Anyway the list on the side of the box of other cars it fits includes several (quite old) Volvos, so I rescued it from the bin in case you guys could do anything with it.

It's a "TJ filters" FB2059.
It fits: Volvo 121, PV122, 122S, 142, 142S, 144, 144S, 145, 164, 1800, P1100, P1200, P1300, P1807, P2200 and twin carb, P210, P220 and twin carb, 244 and Auto, 244EFI, 244GL FL and Auto, 245L, 164 and 164E.

If it's any use to anyone out there, PM me your address and I'll let you have it for the price of the postage. If no-one's interested, it goes back in the bin.

Cheers

NO NO NO

This filter should NOT be used on a volvo engine. It is the same thread and size as the f@#d item but one big difference no non return valve. These filters damage volvo engines as they will cause the engine to start with no oil pressure.
