That would be the plan...I'm only half kidding...

Actually, I think one of my uni mates now owns a former agricultural building for this very purpose.

First thing I saw was the non rusty valance as well Steve! I want more than a barn, an air craft hanger is needed for Dai and myself! I've potentially got two more vehicles heading homewards, I am liking that GLT though!

I'm thinking of selling my 850 and downgrading to something cheaper, considering a classic SAAB 900 or a 360... this GLT may well be the thing I need. Can I have first dibs for the moment? (Will decide either way in the next couple of days).

Saab 900 - nice... but already quite appreciated as a classic.. I'd chose the 360, anyway a Saab 900 is wrong wheel drive, some crazy mo fo put the transaxle in the wrong place!

You keep telling yourself that sm56

Jesting aside, I think you've shown that you care for these cars with your talk of repainting the CVT, etc, so I can't think of a better future owner at the moment. Good luck.

When I say downgrading, I obviously mean it purely in terms of size and age. A couple of questions to help me decide:

Do the rear seats in a 360 of this age fold down to give a reasonably flat load space?

How many miles will I get off a tank and how much will it cost to fill it (Foggy probably not best placed to answer this one... )?

The loadspace isn't that flat with the seat folded - because the seat backrest sticks up from the rest of the floor. The wheelarches also intrude quite a bit.

55 litre tank (I think) - you'll get about 330 miles max -ever. But it wont hang about being a B19 and high compression ;)

I've just looked at the '83 brochure and answered the question about the seats, so that's ok. Still interested in the fuel economy (or lack thereof).

And Steve's answered the second question... about 60 miles per tank more than the 850 usually does, so it might be a minor improvement... I'm warming to this idea :D
