See. I saw it n thought hmm, I could do with extra lighting. Then I was put off by the true hideousness

I seem to think that that is Kevin Devine who won the BKV selling that, though I might be wrong, so KevGLT on V3M. I'm still not keen on the Hella grille look, but a Volvo slash goes a long way to improving it. The extra lighting is great, but it totally transforms the look of the car.

Personally I do not like the grille at all makes the car look - 'odd' and there are other ways to get better lighting

Hi KevGLT here, yes it is me that is selling the Hella Grille on E-bay, went off the idea of fitting it when I got the proper 300 series lamp brackets on E-Bay, from Mac.
Noticed after I put it on E-bay that 'jarlidge' is looking for one !!
Cheers
Kevin.

If this was in aus i'd buy it, as redline said the car already looks odd, and mine with the scarred paint and cracked windscreen is certanly no show pony, the headlights however are woeful! I took a mate for a thrash thru some bush tracks one night, high beams on, half way up the hill he goes, you low beams are shit, why don't you have your high beams on?
I already did.

Are you sure the reflectors aren't toast? I know they're not ever that good, but good ones are a LOT better than trashed ones. Nessy has one really good headlight and one weaker one, but the lighting is pretty impressive for a 300, especially on main beam.

cheers

I like the hella grill, thats why I have the worlds supply :P (or have had... I think I've sold all mine now). I reckon they look a tad odd from straight on, but at a few degrees of angle, they look tight!

I know one reflector is screwed, there's some surface rust or something in it, looks like the car is winking at you. :D

I fitted halfords own Brilliance bulbs .

they say they use xenon gas technology for up to 30% more light the halfords part number is 472B

All I know is they made a hell of a difference on dipped and high beam even without the ring spotlights I had no problems night driving

I've read that Osram Superstar (think thats the model name?!) always get acknowledged in group bulb tests - most of the time coming top.

My reflectors are pretty crap - I must get my ass in gear and change them for the new ones!
