More of the Old Beast

Post by Andy's-Old-Beast » 07 Jul 2006 11:56 am

Hooray, broadband for the win! Here are the rest of my pictures. Sorry there are SO many, hope you don't waste too much of your lives waiting for it all to download. I took plenty cos I thought it would give a more honest view of the car, I want you people to know what you're (hopefully) buying!

As you can see, it's not in perfect condition. But you can also see that it's solid in all the right places and although it looks a bit scruffy there are a few years left in it yet!

So here we are again with the driver's door.

This small battle scar over the rear left wheel was caused when some b**tard side-swiped it while the previous owner was driving on the A14, then drove off!

Left side of the car, and no, I can't explain why the front door trim has done that. I've tried Superglue and Araldite. I like to think it adds aerodynamic stability to the vehicle at speed, rather like the small fins on the fuselage of some fighter aircraft.

Driving lights are included, and very good for night-time long-distance seeing. They come on only with main beam.

The blue thing by the fuse box is the servo for the cruise control.

Well, that's it! The grinning idiot in the cowboy hat is not included in the sale. I hope you now feel like you fully know the car, and realise what an absolute bargain it probably is. But seriously, this is a mildly tatty but ultimately solid car with plenty of life left. So if you're after a cheap one for a daily driver, a first 300 for a friend or loved-one, an easy project, or even a few spares, let me know.

Thanks for looking, now get yer wallets out and form an orderly queue!
