A scrapyard that I often go to has loads of 340/360 Volvos in at the mo.
They also have a 760 turbo in as well for those of you wanting a 2.3 turbo conversion.
The place to be is Albert Looms at Spondon, Derby :D

hmmm could well be interested. I take it they're the same for a 360? Are they front or rears?

Monroe Original are gas ones arent they?

Monroe Original®

The gas-charged or hydraulic technology Monroe Original shock absorbers are specially adapted for the replacement market to compensate for wear of other suspension parts which occurs after having covered thousands of kilometers. By upgrading the original damping specifications, the Monroe Original shock absorbers provide the car increased stability and road-holding.

????? dont know how good they are?

Shhhhh!!! Looms' is my secret weapon ;)

I tried to have the turbo / manifold and head off that 760, but no joy - wrong tools.

There was one VERY special treat in that yard...which I take it you didn't spot, and is long gone now (albeit its donor is still there).

If you see a youngish guy in there hacking at Volvos....its probably me.

cheers

Ooh...dunno... That 1972 164 in white? Or how about that 1978 66GL in blue?
If you were wondering where the airflow meter and the green injectors went from that 760, they are currently in my garage ready for my 1981 Polo...

Nah, the special surprise was on a 340. I'm seriously tempted to buy that 164 though.

Hehe - I certainly noticed the injectors had gone!

cheers

It'll be appearing on my forthcoming 'for sale' page shortly....until then, I'm gonna let the suspense build ;) Its not anything of that much interest to us young folks though.

Its not something like the "Volvo Places to go/Driving Guide' type thing is it? When i was trying to persuade some 4-pot calipers to come off a 240 in a scrappie i found one, in mint condition. Meant to grab it, but forgot :(

I asked about this when I first saw it but it had already been sold. Just think...lowered a bit, nice rims...nothing more...totally pimptastic

That's good news - I'd have hated to see it go for scrap.

I already have one of those guides - came with the car! No, its a proper part of the car.

cheers
