Take pity on this poor 340 *LAST ORDERS AT THE BAR*

Okey dokes, I've come into possession of a 1400cc 340 and it's heading straight to the crusher. The sills are well on their way out, and it's looking dead shabby. I just want to know if anyone wants any bits off it at clearance sale prices.
Help this poor car to donate its organs so that other volvos can live on after its death.

51000miles, engine and box are good, started with jump leads after 30sec. of cranking, even though it had stood for nearly 3 years.

Nice clean interior with original stereo and no toys.

Both front wings shot, but some straight panels though all the paint is faded (red, obviously).

Any other questions just ask, I'm not looking to make money from this, so all prices will be delivery+a teeny couple of quid for my time spent dismantling. If you can get over to my warehouse in Sunderland and remove bits yourself, you can have them for free. (but I'll want a tenner for the engine).

Can't say fairer than that I think.

I do have the bumper, but had to remove it to fit it on the trailer:

Hi John!

Does the fan motor work? If so, I'd be up for a heater resistor pack (in the black heater box at the back of the engine bay) ...

Being a B14 5 speed, it'll be a 3.82:1. I'm in the middle of 360-ising one of those myself ;)

How's the bonnet?

If I'm coming up, I'd be willing to fill 'tha Nezzle' up with stuff to head south if people want donate some petrol tokens...

I was in Washington for the night a couple of weeks back actually. I should have given you guys a shout and we could have gone for a pint. I was in the FWD toss anyway, so it would have been a bit of a poor show ;)

cheers

I could do with a passenger wing mirror if it's one that works from the inside.

I'm also after a couple of the little plastic joints that connect the headlight wipers to the arms (the L shaped ones)

Do you know if the odometer/trip counter work?

Good idea about coming up here Foggy, you can bring that b230fb while you do  The bonnet's perfectly straight and has no rust if I remember correctly. One of the doors might be starting to rot, but I can't remember which. I'll nip down to the unit tomorrow with a list and check stuff out for you guys. If anyone else has suggestions for things to check, shout up and I'll post back on here with extra pictures.
Night all, It's really late (stupid job). sm41

Looking at it, I don't think many people will say it's too good to scrap

I would like the engine and would pay more than a tenner but finding transport time would be my problem unless I can pay another cannibaliser to deliver to near Reading.

Your desire for sunroof parts used to change WITH the weather!

Well there's no great hurry to get rid of the whole lot, as I'm currently lucky enough to have 2000sq.ft. to play with. I can pull most of the useful parts off and just keep them to one side.

We're only in the 2000footer til the council empty the smaller (1k) unit across the road. But rent's free until they sort it. And free is my favourite kind of cheap.

It starts! It won't idle without stalling, but it's fine if you just feather the throttle a tiny bit, so it probably just needs the idle adjusted. Also it may be running rich, as it STINKS of fuel. Even the exhaust looks like it'll last 6 months before it gets perforated, so it could be of use to someone for free?

Here are some more pics to show the condition of the doors. They're all starting to crust, but not beyond saving yet.

The diff is indeed a 3.82:1, as you can't see from this photo. It's barely legible beneath all the muck. Image

There's no water in the oil, but then there's no water in the water either!

got some parts off so the relevant peeps will be getting PM'd shortly.
