Would anyone be interested in my 360 turbo

Post by Ali » 17 Mar 2008 09:21 pm

Alright guys,

Looong time since i've been on here but i'm really considering selling my 360. It hasn't moved since september now and if i'm honest with myself its not going to get used now i've got the 200sx

Bad points:

Its got an oil leak from somewhere, only seems to occur when its drifted though which is a bit random! Might be the dipstick hasn't sealed properly when i've put the tube back in or something!

MOT is only till 23rd March and its out of tax

Good points:

Black 3door glt
£400's worth of engine management
940 turbo setup producing around 170bhp
4 page feature in practical performance car magazine
Factory bodykit

Basically if you haven't seen the car I can post more details but i'd guess most people on here have.

Price.... pretty much offers as I have no idea what its worth, people are selling 1.7s lowered with a welded diff for £500 nowadays and as its a one off I don't really know what to ask for!

I plan to do a compression test as soon as I can get hold of one... probably next weekend, just so it can be sold in the knowledge that the engine is coping with boost fine

cheers

Ali

Trouble is the stupidly short MOT, suppose I might just have to get an MOT on it myself. Theres the odd bits of rust on it don't get me wrong its not immaculate, it was built as a drift car and so it has been well used! Although its only done 4 or 5 drift days iirc, only one of which was when it was turbocharged

very hard to name a price, because it is not simply a lowered 1.7. It is a pretty unique car and would be sad to see it go to someone who wouldn't respect it.

Especially as you only deal in toast and 118 t-shirts.

I would say it's a grand to the right person, problem is finding the right person.
Decide what your happy with receiving, stick to ya guns and advertise in as many mediums as you can. Please don't say make me an offer-been to see 4 things this last weekend-same crack make me an offer-so I did "tenner" and walk off.To my mind a seller should know what they want but they say make me an offer in the hope they get a couple o' bob more than they would let it go for.Very sad.
Good luck whatever happens.

hehe, sven we've been over this before I deal in both beans and toast (and 118 t-shirts if they fall off the lorry)

Good Luck with the sale and I think svens about right, pitch it a bit above a grand as it looks quite tidy and is pretty unique.

Yeah, it's worth £1000-1500 to the right buyer, I'd say. You've done a lot of hard work on that thing...don't sell yourself short on it!

cheers

From what Ali's told me before, it's no less economical than a standard GLT but goes very well!

Shame you're having to sell it mate - stick it up for £1500 I would, it's possibly the most desirable shell/colour combination too. But do yourself a favour and re-MOT it, it's not like it'll need alot!
