F-Reg 340 Redline - No tax, MOT failure

Well, hate to be doing this, but my Redline has just failed it's MOT and the repair bill was estimated at £500-600... Tax has also expired and I just can't afford to get it running again.
Bodywork and interior mostly in excellent condition, other than damage to one of the front wings, nothing major though.
Engine runs fine.

Anything else you need to know just ask

Looking for offers around £150, you could scrap it for more than that! But I'd rather see it put to good use for parts or whatever!
Also comes with around half/three quarters of a tank of petrol (tenner of which is shell v-power!) which is worth a fair bit at current prices!

Unfortunately I don't have the technical knowledge or ability to break it down for parts.

I believe I have its full service history, and even have the original receipt from 1989!

- Pics coming soon

If someone buys it, I'm up for the interior at some point for my newly accuired 360 GLT (the German, Hör modified one)

Price drop to £140 ono! Really don't want to scrap this, someone buy it, even if you just want a couple of parts and plan to scrap the rest!
I'd rather someone gets something from this before it ends it's driving life forever!
Ideally would like this gone soon to help pay for repairing my Fiesta following a hit and run on it in when parked in Swindon

would you be able to remove some parts from it? because im sure there are loads of people on here who would want/need parts from it, If you didnt mind waiting you could try ebay, or you could put an ad in retrorides forum.

Shame to scrap a car when so many people could benefit from parts it has to offer.

Dan.

A good redline interior might certainly be worth hanging on to if you have to scrap the car.

If you have the space keep it ...

I considered breaking it up, but I don't have a clue how to do any of that, plus wouldn't have anywhere to store it if I did - couldn't fit it on the drive as there's already 5 cars parked up there so had to park it up in a car park (with council permission of course!)
Going to put an ad up for this on retrorides though, someone out there must want this!

And sorry for delay in getting pics, keep getting called into work every time I plan on taking them!

It's been raining quite a bit which is why it's rather wet!

Couple of other notes -
One of the gas struts for the boot broke so has to be propped open with a broomstick at the moment!
The Drivers side window is quite hard to wind down for some reason

Current mileage now 119736 - Taken it around the block a few times recently to make sure nothing seizes up or anything (highly unlikely to happen, but knowing my luck!)

Man, that interior is sweet! It competes for first place with leather and the Blueline interior...

If it does come down to scrapping the car, perhaps someone local could head over with spanners and remove parts that people want and hand over some beer tokens...Pete Farrell, perhaps? I'd help if I were more local.

cheers

I wouldn't mind a spot of summer traveling to get some parts if you do have to scrap her, and there are a few parts id love to have off that car. Think i may have replied to your retro-rides post as well.

Cheers dan.

Final price drop: Any offers over £100 considered
Won't sell this for any less than £100

If it doesn't sell, then I'll be open to arranging breaking this on route to the scrap yard, however, I have no way of getting it to a scrapyard, so anyone who can help me get it to one can take what they want from it extra cheap!

£100 is a fair price. It's going to be a case of finding someone who is in a position to take it. I suspect you're going to end up yanking a few easy parts (seats, lights, etc) and having a scrap yard tow the rest away...but if someone can help you do a better job, I'll be very happy to be proved wrong.

cheers

James
