If you're prepared to ship, I'm sure there'd be a few people in Europe who'd like to take some parts off your hands :-)

Which parts exactly did you remove? I'm guessing just the heavy things, evaporator, condensor, compressor ...

I think I'm still getting parts from meintag, so 2nd dibs on bits which Chris doesn't want, not including the compressor (too heavy and probably R12) the evaporator (RHD and LHD are different due to the heater box being the other way round) or filter/drier (will need replacing anyway).

This may be a guide to shipping rates:

This might be useful when looking for which bits to remove:

I'd have to talk to pettaw about which bits I want ;) I'm pretty sure it'd be evap, condensor and the little bits, not the compressor though, as I don't have a redblock!

Thanks for looking into this mate, I'll ask around about posty stuffs, I'd imagine Foggy and Cam have a clue there.

If you don't want the compressor, I'd be after the compressor bracket. I haven't decided yet whether I want air con on my PAS or non-PAS car yet. Meintag's is with PAS, so that way I'd be keeping my options open ...

Bear in mind there are differences in the air con system depending on model year (or chassis no. to be precise). The different radiator fan shroud for example ...

Woooo, just looked at the price of postage. Ok, put it this way, I'm still keen, I'll find out what I definately need.

Tom, I'm not tooooo worried about the differences in model years, both my cars are 1.7 blocks now anyway

Maybe if there are a few bits you want and I don't we can do a deal with the postage?

I was just thinking that, Chris, no point in getting two expensive packets sent over!

To reduce weight: condensors were still available new the last time I looked and Sanden compressors can be had off the bay - it's just a question of finding one with the correct clutch length. The evaporator in the heater box is the most important thing you need.

Another thing I might want: the manifold solenoid valve (increases the idle when A/C is running - it's in the throttle housing near the idle speed adjuster knob). On carb cars, idle speed was increased by a vaccum feed to the carb, opening the throttle a little bit more ...

Yeah, Evap is the main thing I need, as I'll already have an intercooler up front in one of the cars...

£80 is much better than what I was looking at!

You don't happen to have a spare AC/heater fan blower motor in amongst your spares??

Are you sure it's the blower motor that's gone, and not just the heater resistor?

Hubby has just said that he connected the blower motor directly to the battery and it didn't rotate/make any noise at all...dead as a door knob. :(

I won't be needing the motor out of the lot above, as long as Aussie doesn't mind splitting it?
