Nice one mate! That's the sort of news I wanted to hear, and had hoped to hear for sometime! You know you'd regret selling it! Glad you have found some space, just make sure it's in the dry when it's not being used!

Well I was thinking fast road, but then I'm moving to inverness, and the Highland Car Club has a wealth of amateur rally events...

Rosie's probably too good to strip out, I don't think I could bring myself to do it. So, slammed +T with MS was always the fantasy, keep the rest sleeper-ish. Still don't know whether to go for a 2.3 or stick with the B19, probably the latter.

I think you're confusing me with someone else. I'm as honest as the day is long, and I'm very good at not getting caught

Bang on the 940 turbo stuff, like Ali did. Don't they say the B19 is the best for +T? Then a slight drop but looking otherwise stock, that would be amazing.
Just my two pence worth like.

B19 will be fine for Invernesshire

Turn off A9 anywhere in the winter months Aug-May and you'll be over the moon you haven't got too much go

See ya at the Snowman then.
I'll bring the summons mesel'-save a stamp.

Yeah, the B19 has strong internals. I'm only after 200 odd hp so will most probably stick to 2 litres.

The engine's only done 65k so shouldn't need a total rebuild but does need all gaskets replaced - gearbox ditto. Been wanting to do that since I bought it. Thing is, once I have it apart I'll start thinking about go-faster bits. We'll see what happens.

The compression ratio will be a little on the high side for boost on that engine, but keep your aspirations (pardon the pun) fairly low and you'll be fine. 200bhp will be no problem. Good call on MSnS...accurate control of fuel and spark will be essential if you're going to +T and keep it together. Compression ratio aside (and it's not really a biggie), the B19 is a good choice. Only the turbo versions (and potentially only the B23ET in a very early 760 Turbo) had fully forged internals, but who cares? You can comfortably make 300bhp on a 'weak' setup. Personally, I'd use a B23ET (if you can find one) or a late B230FK...but there's also a strong argument for +Ting the B19.

Alternatively, a B23/230 on 45s will make that sort of power with no problem ;)

cheers

If you're worried about the compression, switch to LPG as it's 110+ octane.
