oh right, that sounds a good way to go, i know you can get really strong boxes for the cossies, not sure on prices though! but for what i want a standard t5 would handle it. what do you do about the diff though guess the ratios are not the same wouldn't that mess up the gear ratios?xtrmjks wrote:At the minute it looks like build out of this shell is going forward..
Std running gear takes (or did..) between 300-350 BHP, any more (arround 17 psi on Mine) and it's either clutch, diff or main shaft that want's to go different way to rest of the car..![]()
My way to cure this is to cut floor open and go for gearbox, prop,diff set up..
Cosworth T5 are strong and can be used with adaptor plate
TVR box is based on T5 and even stronger..
