Breaking 360

I have a 360, details as below.

MY friend Rick is having the Rims, bell houing, drive shafts / prop shaft /b rakes and all other running gear required to convert his 340 to a 360.

anyone need any of the minor parts or anything? drop me a pm. largely, you'd be able to come and peck at it like vultures.

i wouldnt recommend the petrol tank tho, it leaks

Mainly, i would like to sell the (2ltr) engine rather than scrap it - shes done 78k now (ish) and shes raring to do more

any offers?

Im in dagenham, essex

carb

front legs are available, but not sure if advisable... one's been welded up already, and the other's on its way. one of the many reasons for giving up on it im afraid.

locks are available, but its not central locking.

basically im gonna let my friend take what he needs (As below) then if you can arrange to meet me and you bring some tools, you welcome to whatever bits you need, if they're in good nick then all the better.

the only thing i want money for is the engine. i was hoping to get a ton twenty or so for that, maybe? its fairly young in terms of mileage

parts definately not going to be available:
==========================
radiator
drive/propshafts
torquetube/gearbox/bellhousing etc
wheels
rear shocks
leaf springs

and maybe a few other bits (whatever is needed to convert a 340 to a 360, use your imagination here) my mate has an engine already, hence im selling that

im talking ancilliaries, really. like if your dashboard is manky, and you can be bothered to come and (carefully) take the one out of mine, then you're welcome to it. tips accepted but not necessary :D

ill put the word up here when its ready to be harvested

Could do with a speedo cable mate if it's VDO.

er.. VDO?

dunno, sorry. you're welcome to it though either way

i bought my new car today and plan to insure/tax it for the beginning of next month, so im still running the volvo about at the moment.

Lee has bagsied the header tank, by pm
(anyone know if this'll suit a 340?)

xtrmjks has expressed interest in the legs, but again they're a bit knackered really, only ok if you want to cut the spring cups off and put new ones on

other than that, and the list above, everything else is still going

theres a nice thin-striped brown/orange velour interior thats in good nick if anyone can be bothered to come get it.

doors/windows in fair nick (apart from chip on front windscreen) if anyone needs them. again, come get it and it's yours FOC

Any offers for the engine? £100? its a powerful lump, good for anyone thinking about a 2ltr conversion on their 340. you'll need bellhousing/running gear but its a good start

Rev counter to 8000 rpm, square warning lights for fuel & water - Smiths
Rev counter to 7000 rpm, round lights ... - VDO ;-)

Cheers

How is it welded? and where?

Front legs welded around the spring cup

I've heard tell that people cut these off and put new ones on (might as well do it lower down i guess) so if you can do that, you're welcome to come have them.

they wont be much cop to you otherwise

RE: speedo

im gonna say its the Rev counter to 7000, as 8 seems too high. The warning lights are all along the top, square i think.

I cant remember off the top of my head. going to lunch in an hour or so, ill remember to have a look while driving home

the front PS wheel hub takes a long square cross-section cable all the way through to the hubcap, and the other end looks a bit like a cigarette lighter, i think...

sorry, not of much help

the number plate is B908KMX, if you want to run a few parts checks.

If i get wind of people using my numberplate to run speed cameras, i'll know who's to blame :P

Couple of things I wouldn't mind off this, but I'm all out of weekends until the new year :(

If anyone is going down and can store some bits for me ;)

correction:

rev counter goes to 80(x100)

everyone list out here the bits you want to bagsy - again, check lists above first..

first come, first pilliage

i will accept the odd fiver tip here or there, but dont ask me how much, just come and take it!

someone bagsy the interior, please! id hate to see it go to waste.

and yet again, anyone want the engine? its gotta be worth a ton; it totally dicked on a frisky golf earlier today, and it sounds luuuuuvly

just a shame the shell is shagged and i dont have the readies or time to repair it

What was up with the shell in the end? I love the look of this GLS, with it's lowness and BBS wheels
