It'd be me buying it :)

Hi, found you guys and this thread, while I was poking about on the net looking for 340 information. They bring back memories of my youth, my Grandad had 2 :)

Does this mean that there is history to this car? :)

Bought it mostly for a charity run I'm doing in the summer in aid of a girl with Cerebral Palsy, but hoping to keep it afterwards if it behaves itself and does the round trip to Barcelona and back without any problems :)

Charity run is taking place August 1st - 16th. Near Guildford to Barcelona and Back. Entering and Leaving Spain over the Pyrenees.

There will be vidoes on Youtube, there are already from the guys who took part in last years one. There's local press coverage being organised I believe, and the people/cars talking placed will be involved in a few events before the run takes place in an effort to raise awareness/sponsorship.

I think the 340 might be the smallest engined car taking part...

The rules specify the cars have to cost £300 or less (which should include T&T, but I'm bending the rules a little on that bit)

Im sure youll get away with it man. :D
Glad to see you representing the rwd hatch brigade out on the continent. And sure youll have a lot more fun over the mountaons in the 300 than most. Surely cant be many nippy rwds on the run. I'll be sure to keep a lookout on youtube for your progress.

I'll post links to where the videos will be turning up closer to the time.

Last year they took 5 RWD cars, Ford Sierra, Ford Capri, Volvo 740, BMW 525i and a merc 320E although saying that, they had a £500 limit last year.

I'm pleased with my purchase, and yeah fingers crossed it's go through an MOT again fine in July.

340 will be far more fun to drive than any of those mate. Sounds like a real adventure!

Change in circumstances means that my holiday plans are off, and this car is now up for sale again :(

Hope it goes to a good home.
