F7P Valver engine. *sold provisionally*

Post by volvosneverdie »

Provisionally sold to fellow V3Mer.
Nice to keep it on the forum.

Big thanks for all the help everyone.

Due to surprise change in personal circumstance, Im forced and greatly pained to sell the 1.8 16v Clio engine Ive only just bought.
Just had full rebuild at tripplesixmotorsport which included new pistonrings, conrod bolts, x8 inlet valves, x8 evhaust valves, new headgasket, stretch bolts, timing belt, oil filter, new oil, antifreeze and coolant.
Loads and loads of reciepts for work done. Should be an absolute killer.
Sorry to see it go, but no real choice.

*EDIT- Johns prepared to run it down to the next meet if thats of a help to anyone.*

£250 or closest offer.

Pm for more details.

sm4 all.
Any photos?

if it's done right it's a fair price.

what does it include exactly... you say coolant? :?

i was going to ask about that too

i presume it means a new 5L bottle of coolant concentrate. And presumably a drum of oil since it would be most peculiar to fill the engine with oil before its installed in the car.
Can you supply answers please chap :)

engine was in a running clio when all the work was done, so I can only presume that coolant and oil was changed at the time of the engine rebuild.
i dont know for sure, this is just the information that was provided by the lad I bought the engine from.
Engine is available for viewing at any time mind, as are the reciepts for all the work done, as im no mechanical genius and dont think I can really accuratlly answer as the engine was not in my possesion when the work took place.

Doing compression test and more photos at the weekend.

Until then, i only have photos still in situ :

Well admittedly, its nearly all labour, but they are motorsport specialists. And I thought it was worth a mention.
Someones spent a lot on it, doesnt mean its worth a lot, but it means its been cared for well.

Yeah man, theres a starter.
If whoever buys the engine doesnt need it, you can certainly take it man.

I'm tempted by this seeing as the engine I've been waiting for, for the past 3 months turns out to be a non starter after travelling 60 miles to pick up the car sm2

Problem is its more than I want to spend on a F7P and its well out of my neck of the woods!
