FS: 99% Rust Free ' 89 F 340 1.4 5dr - 54K - 12m MOT - SOLD!

Hi Everyone.
I have for sale a 1988 340 1.4 in excellent condition and is 99% Rust Free.
I purchased the car about a year ago from a trader who was going to send it for scrap. I originally brought the car as the base for my 340 drifting project but very soon after I found a 1.7 3 dr in less than perfect condition that was better suited. Since then this car has been stored at my friends unit on a farm.
The exceptional condition of this car means I am very reluctant to send it for scrap or to lose another good example to drifting and as such am offering it for sale here in the hope an enthusiast or collector will take her on.

It has extensive Volvo Main Dealer service history up to 32,167 (30/09/2002) and was serviced every six months regardless of mileage!!
Exterior:
As already mentioned the condition is excellent with no rust of the arches, sills or structural members. Underneath the car it is very clean with no evidence of major repair apart from a small patch of welding on the rear frame. A couple of other points to mention are a small patch of surface rust on the passenger door below the wing mirror, a small scrape (paint damage) on the passenger wing and a dent in the rear passenger door. All easily repairable to make this mint condition.
Interior:
The condition is also very good with all switches, ashtrays and windows working. The front and rear seats are not original. These are the seats from my 1.7 GL and as such are slightly nicer than the original 1.4 and come with a few nice extras such as lumber support and a boot access hatch on the rears. Also the front seats are heated but obviously the 1.4 has no wiring. If you want to I can supply the centre consol and switches FOC if you want to wire them in.It also comes with 4 Volvo rubber floor mats.
Mechanics:
I have just carried out a full service including Oil, Oil filter, Air Filter, Plugs, Leads, Distributor Cap and Rotor, 2nd Hand Battery and a cleanup of the Rear Brakes. It will come with a full years MOT (passed with flying colours with no advisory). Even the tester commented on how good condition it was in.
It starts OK (take a couple of pumps of the pedal) and once running idles, it also drives very smoothly with no hesitation or flat spots. I’m guessing the starting is just down to it being sat for a while. Driving it around the past few days it does drive really well and feels nice and tight. It happily sits on the dual carriageway at 70mph with no vibration or strange noises. All the tyres tyres are in good condition and have lots of tread on them.
Car is currently in Eastbourne, East Sussex and is available for viewing and test drives.
Price wise, due to the condition im looking for around £450, but I’m open to offers. It needs to go soon as I was recently made redundant and can’t afford to store it any longer.
