I'm gonna make a trip down to that big place in the sky for volvos on the A1 next week. Does anyone want me to look out for something for them? (And post it if they need it).
Going down with a wad of cash to harvest these beasts muhuhahaha
AND I discovered their website:

Unlikely i know, but I'm still after a MK2 hatch lock and a key to fit it, or even a Mk3 one but I'll need the striker for that one too

Ok just to be clear - I can't carry anything oily as I'll only have the 340's boot and back seat (it's a saloon). Dirty is ok as dirt cleans off.
Firstly, what's a bellhousing? Pictures would be ideal. Secondly, what's a striker?

I probably have different words for these things.

bell housing consider it to be the equiv of a fwd gearbox on our engine. it covers the clutch. and conects the prop to the engine.

I basically need all 3 components of the tailgate latching mechanism + a key to fit the lock.
So, these two parts:
Unbolt easily. Once free there's a control arm connecting the lock to the latch which needs pinged off from inside and then both parts will come out.
And the striker, which is the plate bolted into aperture at the back of the car which the latch of the tailgate locks into:
Easy to remove too, 5 minute job to get the lot and should all be quite clean and light weight!
The ones you find may look a little different because they're from a later car, but if you get me the whole set it'll work just fine!
I'd really appreciate this

@ Speedy88, Ronnie wants the mechanism for a mk2 car (83-85) this is a completely different lock than the mk3 (85-91) version just thought it might help with the search

No, please don't add confusion to this - the Mk2 and Mk3 locks
are different, but if the good speedy88 gets the complete set of lock, latch and striker it won't matter. I'll be able to make it fit no bother. The chances of finding the Mk2 parts are quite remote, that's why I'm asking for the whole set because I'm assuming it will come off of a Mk3.
So, Speedy, please continue as arranged and don't worry too much about exactly which V300 it comes off.

hehe and i thought the pics would've caused confusion when he would see a mk3 to get the parts from:lol:
if you're changing the whole lot it doensn't matter indeed
sorry for the extra confusion

Ok! There are 2 1.7s, 2 1.4s, a DL, a 360 and an almost perfect redline apart from the off side crash damage.
I've got that water pump and the hatch lock but everything else was few and far between, sorry everyone else. Seems like I got beat to it as these beasts were stripped right down (apart from the redline, the seats looked perfect). I'll sort out postage when I get back home.

What were their prices like? And do you know what model 360 it was?

No idea, it was pretty messed up and on it's side. He charged me £35 for the water pump and £10 for the hatch lock and striker, eerything else was chucked in for free. Very nice people, let me borrow his posy drive
