looks like mine is gonna be up for grabs for serious.

http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 82&start=0

62K milage (verified), 90% stamped service history.
1.4 carb. cheap as you like to insure, cheap as chips to tax and run.
Rare working GEARCHANGE INDICATOR
Colour coded locking petrol cap.
Starts 98% on first turn.
2% on second turn.
NEVER not started.
NEVER taken three turns.
Lowered 2in front with uprated shorter Dai springs.
Lowered 2in rear with blocks.
Tinted rear lenses (plus origonals)
Debadged all round.
Full set of official correct Volvo Floor trays (from new, carpet immaculate. I DO NOT exagerate)
Back seats have been sat in about 6 times ever. Condition is immaculate.
Also still have origonal springs to restore ride height if needed.
Pool ball gear knob (origonal odesnt have much weight for my liking. again, the origonal is available)
Tinted screen sunstrip.
Pop out rear quarter windows.
Gearbox has been described (not by me) as 'like new' and 'the best on a 300 that ive ever driven'.
Engine can seriously be described as the same.
No rust to speak of. Couple of surface blemishes, that might look terrible if you get down on your hands and knees and press one of your eyeballs right against it. Otherwise, youd be lucky to notice!
No rot.
No longer has the hella grill or snowcap shown in some pics.

A well loved, well cared for and well known forum car.
And GREAT fun.

Will be available with immaculate cloth interior as shown in the early pics on my thread.
Will also come with standard steering wheel.

BAD BITS:
ran into by kind lady driver.
Passenger wing is deformed. Still runs fine with no issues. indicator is undamaged and fully functional. Inner wing is unmoved so 100% cosmetic only.
Same accident left a full length crease on the passenger side door. (shallow and pretty much un-noticable unless you know its there and are specificly looking for it).
Also, covered in stickers as shown in photos. Wont be to everyones taste.

Fraid so.
To answer yours and speedys questions:

Selling as my dream cars came up.
Yous might have heard me bleating on like a dick about 240 saloons?
Well a low milage 2.3 GLT has come up, and ive fallen for it.
to cover the cost, (big insurange, tax, actual car cost, getting it from Brum) mine has to go.
If nobody wants mine, I'll happily keep it and run it. Just wont be able to afford the 240GLT.
Sven I think theres 6months ish of each left. I'll check though. I'll give it 12 of test if you want to put the cost on the price. It wont fail on anything.
VND garuntee.

Not sure what you mean by gp man.
Tax is 125 a year. 68.75 for half.
Insurance costs Pops 160 for us both. fully comp with breakdown, Limited 5000 miles second car.
Best quote i had for me off the bat, by myself, just passed test was 475. Fully comp. as above.

Hope this helps.
Sven, i seriously advise you to come and drive it.
Theres not better.
Got a billion years in it, and its as cheap to run as you can get without going 1 litre fwd shite.
I stand by my description.
If anyone comes to view and disagrees with anything ive said, you can have 20 quid out of my pocket and a lift home.

directline did that when I went for an online quote.
the year on their autocarfinder was wrong.
So I rang them up, sat on hold for twenty mins, argued with an indian for twenty mins, got transfered to a scotsman and he said 'just pick the option nearest to your car.'

Cheers.

F*ck me!!!!!

£450 is so cheap for this stunning car. If I had space and £450 lying around I'd be on it. But, I haven't.

Please please whoever buys this don't turn it into a drift tramp shed, it's too nice. They're getting rareer buy the day. Please don't do it. If you bought it and wanted a drifter you can get them. Please don't destroy it.

shouldn't have thought it'd be much interest to drifters man.
Maybe if it was a 4 door 1.7.
They seem to love those tinkers.

The interior on mine is far too good to fall by wayside too.

It will make someone a happy chap though. That's for sure.
It's a cheap to run, fun to drive, rwd chick magnet.
And everyone that's ever driven it has got laid the very same day.
Fact.
