1988 2-door 340 DL 1.4 1 previous owner. SOLD!

All original 1.4 F-reg car with ZERO rust. 77,000 miles. Usual OAP dints and odd scrape, but the bodyshell is superbly solid. Been garaged nearly all its life. I've looked all over and can't see any body repairs or welding. 1.4 4-speed. Long MoT and tax, with original owner's handbook. Immaculate tweed seats (heated up front), original cassette radio, headlamp wipers. Everything works. Very reliable (manual choke). I have fitted a pool ball gearknob but have the original. Carpets underneath the mats are immaculate. No leaks, everything works as it should (heating awesome). Brand new boot gas struts fitted (so the tailgate doesn't smack you in the head). Brand new battery fitted early December (not in pic so you can see how solid the battery tray is)

Car been lowered using proper (Dai) springs and 2" blocks, plus new Landrover Defender shocks at rear. Only fitted these last week and done ZERO miles since. ***Not had chance to photograph it since lowering (due to snow) but can do)***. This car has been driven sensibly and not drifted. I lowered it simply to stop the understeer. Exhaust is modified (bit louder) to allow speed bump clearance.

Had a full service in the last 500 miles including new distributor cap and rotor arm, air filter, plugs and oil. I also replaced the rubber fuel hoses and in-line fuel filter / clips.

Also have complete pop-out rear window set (inc all fastners and plastic trim bits) - will sell separately.
Car will come with BNIB clutch.

Original Peterborough car (see numberplate dealership) and never really left the area! The previous owner was a lady. Rear badges had been nicked by vandals (not sure why) hence I changed the name. This is reversible and we all know how cheap s/hand badges are from Lakes Autos.

If you want a good 2-door 340 that's cheap to run and needs nothing, this is a pretty honest good car.

£500. Car is in Stamford, Lincolnshire (12 miles north of Peterborough on the A1)
Please note I am working away for the next few days so email is best. jonnycarpervert(at)gmail(dot)com

Well, it's not a definite decision but I've found the perfect condition Mercedes estate (my previous daily drivers have been benz wagons) and I don't want to miss out. I can't afford it unless the Vulva goes  but we shall see

Thanks guys. Got a serious buyer already but am working away so we shall see! Yes, it comes with a brand new battery. She's a good straight honest car and I might regret getting rid. We shall see......

.......I was going to try this F7p Renault 16v conversion but this one is just too original for that. The rear shocks needed replacing anyway, so the lowering has done it a favour!
