This is the only time I've ever seen a V300 in the USA. From California too, so probably not bad rustwise.
Check out the headlamp wipers!

I think Jos is about 3500kms away from that car ;-)

I passed up the opportunity to own a wheel like that a few years back unfortunately, it was fitted to a very rusty 343 DL-C (BB in Holland) :-( Regrets ...

living in the U.S. made him "scale up" his thoughts of a long distance, i bet 3500km is a walk in the park for him now

I called the guy today. This is an opportunity i don't WANT to let pass.
He doesn't want to meet me halfway  You're guess was right Tom:

He said he wanted to let it ship if that's what i want, but i got a few estimates today and it's going to cost me about $800 to ship it over here. Unfortunately, i don't have that + the car's value in my back pocket ready to spend.

I would like to go over to CA and pick it up though, but i can't get 2 weeks off from work...

The furthest i've driven so far is to eastern South Dakota, and that is one hell of a long drive. It looks so small on the map but it's an incredible distance...
Imagine this drive being 3 times as much... Damn...
In a early V300 with discutable maintenance history (who replaced the CVT belts or clutch in California???) it will be an adventure.

Ah, hadnt fully considered that aspect.
'itll be fine! off I go!' probably wouldnt be such a good rallyng cry before you set out across a continent.
Maybe you need a 240 support car too. :D

Thats not a huge distance, I've done worse! Not in a car I have no idea about though but for that car it has to be worth it.

$1,675.00 - not bad :-)

Apparently there are a handful of V300s in the States:
Hi, I just spotted your listing and I have to make a small correction to be helpful. This is not the only Volvo 343 in the country. There are a few in Washington state and a friend of mine has a 1982 model in Maine. They are rare for this country but I know of at least 5 here. Thanks, John
