workshop share near southampton

I am lucky enough to have a 24' x 24' or 8m x 8m (approx) workshop that I rent. It has an engine hoist, welder, grinders, spanners and all other mechanics tools in there. - spring compressors - pretty much evert tool required to 'fix up' a car

I have had it for a few years now and I rent it on a quiet farm near Romsey. I had it becasue I used to run my car business from it (restoring and selling old bimemers and vdubs) - well I no longer do that and have a regular 'proper job' as my other half says. which means with the arrival of our daughter as well in December that I dont use it very much.

well anyone that has ever tried to rent a place like this will know that it is a very expensive thing to do - even getting a place is hard enough. - I cannot justify the expenditure on my own as we are down to one income in the house hold

As a result I am offering the use of my workshop and all its tools along with a permanent 'parking place' within it plus a spare space in an open barn that I rent behind it.

all of this for the sum of £150 per month.

you will need to be reliable, pay on time, respectful to the farmer who I rent it from, not drive round the farm like a loon and be honest as the tools are worth a small fortune and I above all will need to trust you. I will likely ask for a deposit due to this - this will be kept by a third party.

this is how it looks at the moment - the volvo will be the only one of mine in there by the time its ready to share.

Good effort offering it up here... I struggled to find a lockup, nevermind something like this and I know a couple of others pay nearly that a month for similar storage without any of the facilities you have. Good luck with it :)

+1 You'll end up driving some modern FWD Volvo toss cos you don't have time to keep a 300 as a daily... oooh wait a minute!!

lol, I already do more miles in my 300 a year than you do in the S70

I showed this to my housemate last night, but I'm not convinced he has the spare pennies right now either. I've a feeling thats got something to do with the increasing number of small block parts that seem to be in my lounge

Yeah I've got to be honest, my 300 was reliable up to a point but lately it's been terrible. 3/5 times because I broke it but still :)

Aye, I did borrow the odd car! New insurance doesn't give me 3rd party though so it's now super reliable (I hope)

A timely reminder for those that may be intrested, I am thining down the fleet and loosing the storage barn full of all sorts of motorised goodness...........therefore I will still be looking for a person to 'share' the unit with but at a slightly cheaper price :)
