Someone fancy ripping this out of that 400 crappy FWD shell and putting it into a 300 series :D Hmm.. do they have proof of that power though ;)

Well...kinda...I'd like to see the dyno print, put it that way. I think the propshaft might be in danger in a 300...

If the insurance was the same as for a 400 TD, I'd put a 400 TD motor in a 340 in a shot. Chesh's brothers 460 TD beat a GLT at Santa Pod. Owned by a FWD derv that can double its MPG...that's harsh ownage.

i'd be surprised if you can get 300+ bhp from that engine without race-spec tuning - i mean its only a 1.7.. even with modern technology an evo can push 200bhp/litre (which is nearly what that one needs to do), and that needs servicing every 3000 miles, not to mention the silly turbo on it..
